A Word on sizes...
The majority of the pieces in our shop have been specially made for a particular person. That person may or may not be the same size as you (or your friend). As such, each of our lovely costumes has to be actually tried on to see if it will fit. Even pieces that have sizes may be vintage - note that a 1942 Size 12 is NOT the same as a current Size 12!
The up-side to all of this is that you get to try on each and every piece that you like!
IF whoever is wearing the costume is not available to come in person, bringing some basic measurements will save the frustration of getting home and finding things don't fit. These include:
For WOMEN:
Bust
Waist (your NATURAL waist; where your body dips in on the side, not where you wear pants)
Hips
For MEN:
Chest
Waist
Inseam
Neck
